This position is responsible for leading and controllingactivities of branch warehouse personnel assigned to the ShippingDepartment.

Ensures order selection and related shipping functionsare performed in an effective manner. Monitors work processes andenvironmental conditions to ensure the safety of allemployees.

Responsibilities :

• Assist team members in the timely and accurateassembly of customer orders, in preparation for shipment
• Provide a professional environment with relation tofellow team members, other department members and externalcustomers.
• Direct the necessary dailyactivities to ensure a safe working environment for allemployees.
• Organize and focus on improvedproductivity levels in a manner that stresses effectiveness byimproving processes as well as the efficiencies of department teammembers.
• Ensure company policies arecommunicated, applied and enforced (i.e. operational, safety,administrative, etc.)
• Maximize quality andproductivity by understanding the expectations of the company andassisting the Warehouse Manager in evaluating performance variancesin order to identify root cause and corrective action.

Requirements :

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor'sdegree preferred
• Must be able to lift heavy objects(occasionally between 60-75 lbs) with or without reasonableaccommodation for an entire shift)
• Must beable to work regularly at a height of up to 26 feet above theground (with provided safetyequipment / processes / training)
• Must be a selfstarter with the ability to multi task
• Possessexcellent judgment and decision making skills
• Effective verbal and written communicationskills
• Proficient using the AS400
• Possess strong PC skills in Word and Excel
• Capacity to effectively plan workload and staffassignments
